I used to check in with this group from time to time, and in addition to
it being a community bulletin board, there was a good amount of banter
going on...It seems that now all you have are a few folks posting
endless garbage..such a shame.

I guess a lot of people have gone to Facebook.

But there are a few readers on here, so start a thread/topic and
maybe some of us will respond.

I agree, it is a shame. It is, however, not indicative of this
group only. The majority of usenet groups have become populated
by netkooks posting endless garbage.

BTW, nf.general was never meant to be a community bulletin board
rather a discussion forum for subjects relative to the province
of Newfoundland. Along with the netkooks, another reason for its
demise was the fact that, at one time, almost every post made
here began with "Where is the best place to buy..............?"
