I am still on the books as a part-time research assistant but
haven’t had any hours for several months now, though that
may change soon. However I have not updated my LinkedIn
profile or my home page to reflect that, and might not until I
begin seriously looking for work again, which I haven’t been
doing much of during the pandemic.

Note that I did obtain a Ph.D. in May of 2018, and that
should count for something; graduate student years
are generally considered equivalent to full-time
employment though not funded as well.

Well, I had the experience, that those things, he believes in, do work
for some people. But to clarify, I can speak with 'things' like he got
his deities, and experience those events after that, while no one is
acting, or playing a role with studied texts, it all just happens, so
maybe you should leave those people that experience something like I
described, and hang yourself.
